NIZHPHARM is part of the STADA group of companies
NIZHPHARM is a Soviet and Russian pharmaceutical company. One of the largest pharmaceutical manufacturers in Russia. Since 2004, it has been part of the German Stada group of companies.
The enterprise was established by a decree of the Council of People's Commissars in January 1919 in Nizhny Novgorod under the name "Pharmaceutical Plant No. 10". Later the plant changed its name several times. In 1994, as a result of privatization, the plant was transformed into OJSC Nizhny Novgorod Chemical-Pharmaceutical Plant (Nizhpharm). In 2004, 97.47% of Nizhpharm's shares were acquired by the German holding Stada.
In 2015, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation included the enterprise in the "List of organizations that have a significant impact on the industry and trade".
Nizhpharm accounts for one third of Russian exports of all medicines.
